Federal Heights Community

Federal Heights is a neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah. It encompasses almost 20 square-miles east of Virgina Street and north of South Temple Street, ending as it meets the Wasatch Mountains to the northeast. The name refers to the area's origin as the bedroom community for the officers of Fort Douglas - established by the Federal Government of the United States prior to Utah becoming a state in 1896. Federal Heights today is definitely one of the most affluent residential neighborhoods in all of Salt Lake City and features beautiful homes dating back as far as one hundred years.

Federal Heights Education

The residents of Federal Heights are served by the Salt Lake City School District. Students living in this neighborhood are served by Wasatch Elementary School, followed by Bryant Middle School, and then West High School.

Higher education is right at home in Federal Heights since the neighborhood's southeastern border is formed by the campus of the University of Utah.
